First Baptist Church on Mission

We are on mission around the world … and we would love for you to join us.

Our purpose statement comes from the pages of Scripture

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria , and to the end of the earth.

Acts 1:8, ESV

 

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. Matt 28:19-20, ESV

 

We believe that God is at work in Paducah, the state of Kentucky, the United States , and around the world … and we are committed to the purpose of sharing our faith through minisry and service and assisting those who have given their life to this Great Commission cause.

November 11-14, 2008 – Honduras

Dr Todd Brady and four others will make a strategic trip to Orphanage Emmanuel in preparation for Heart for the World (April 2009).  These five will assess the needs of the orphanage, as well as oversee the logistics for the dozens of us who will serve together in April.  

 

 

February 22-27, 2009 – New Orleans, Louisiana

Under the umbrella of Operation NOAH Rebuild, a Southern Baptist post-Katrina relief effort, FBC will be sending a team of men and women to the New Orleans area to help in rebuilding efforts in several local communities.

 

 

April 4-10, 2009 – Honduras

As part of our Heart for the World Week, FBC will be sending a team of over 60 people – families and children ages 10 and up – to serve and worship with the Orphanage Emmanuel near Guiamaca, Honduras . Orphanage Emmanuel is home to over 450 children.

 

 

May 2009 – Romania

Our mission team will travel to Romania to teach, serve, and provide medical assistance in the local hospitals.

 

 

October 2009 – Romania

The FBC Sanctuary Choir will be traveling to Western Romania to join with local churches in worship and ministry efforts, under the direction of Art Deweese.

 

 

November 2009 – Jordan

FBC members will partner with local International Mission Board missionaries in their work with international refugees.
